My favourite movie soundtracks pt.2

As continued from part 1, here’s the second part of my favourite movie tracks ๐Ÿ™‚ You’ll find an equal mix of childhood favs and haunting tunes. Catchy beats and touching scores complete my list. Have a listen and tell me what you think!

  • Midnight In Paris – Si Tu Vois Ma Mere
  • Kill Bill – My Baby Shot Me Down
  • Reservoir Dogs – Little Green Bag
  • The Lion King – Stand By Me
  • Boyhood – Hero
  • The Godfather – Speak Softly Love
  • The Theory Of Everything – Cambridge, 1963
  • Indiana Jones – Main Theme
  • Forrest Gump – Main Theme

Midnight In Paris – Sidney Bechet’s Si Tu Vois Ma Mere

“I don’t get here often enough, that’s the problem. Can you picture how drop dead gorgeous this city is in the rain? Imagine this town in the ’20s. Paris in the ’20s, in the rain. The artists and writers!”

Kill Bill – Sonny Bono’s My Baby Shot Me Down

“I’m calling you a killer. A natural born killer. You always have been, and you always will be. Moving to El Paso, working in a used record store, goin’ to the movies with Tommy, clipping coupons. That’s you, trying to disguise yourself as a worker bee. That’s you tryin’ to blend in with the hive. But you’re not a worker bee. You’re a renegade killer bee. And no matter how much beer you drank or barbecue you ate or how fat your ass got, nothing in the world would ever change that.”

Reservoir Dogs-Little Green Bag

“Look, there’s only gonna be two ways on this job. My way or the highway. So what’s it gonna be Mr.Pink?”

The Lion King – Original by Ben E King’s Stand By Me

“Pumbaa, with you, everything’s gas.”

Boyhood – Family Of The Year’s Hero

“Everything? What’s the point? I mean, I sure as shit don’t know. Neither does anybody else, okay? We’re all just winging it, you know? The good news is you’re feeling stuff. And you’ve got to hold on to that.”

The Godfather – Larry Kusik and Nino Rota’s Speak Softly Love

“Bonasera, Bonasera, what have I ever done to make you treat me so disrespectfully? If you’d come to me in friendship, this scum who ruined your daughter would be suffering this very day. And if by some chance an honest man like yourself made enemies they would become my enemies. And then, they would fear you.”

The Theory Of Everything – Johann Johannson’s Cambridge,1963

“There should be no boundaries to human endeavor. We are all different. However bad life may seem, there is always something you can do, and succeed at. While there’s life, there is hope.”

Indiana Jones – John Williams’ theme song

โ€œBut not today.โ€

And finally, my favourite ๐Ÿ™‚ It never fails to make me cry buckets when I watch the film, and this song jusat says it all.

Forrest Gump – Alan Silvestri’s Main Theme

“Mama always said life was like a box o’ chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.”

” I’m not a smart man… but I know what love is.”

So there’s my complete list ๐Ÿ™‚ If you were wondering, here’s part 1. Hope you guys liked it, some of them mean alot to me ๐Ÿ™‚ Tell me which movie OST’s you like in the comments!

I love most of the Disney soundtracks, especially for Mulan. The song, I’ll Make A Man Out Of You is awesome. I also love the theme from Gladiator, Now We Are Free. Such a powerful piece.
