Videos for the weekend!

Wahoo! Hi guys! How are you? Anyhow, I have three videos for you this weekend – Two of them are extremely funny hehe (I love to include funny videos, I mean who doesn’t love it right?). Weekends should be all about letting off some steam, chillin’ and just having a ball of a time. So if you ever find yourself some time after that crazy stress-releasing workout session or after that big meal you’ve had, have a laugh with these videos 🙂

You must be wondering what that picture is right? Beautiful right 🙂 Hmm, is that…Scarlett Johansson? (Some of you movie nerds would know this 😉 ) My third video in here is a 7 minute opening scene of the movie Under The Skin. As one of the aims of my blog is to promote a wide variety of films, here’s one truly out of this world hard-hitting sci-fi film. Go indie films!

Many of you may know the series The Office. Amid its many hilarious jokes and oddly fitting editing style, this clip got me into watching the series in the first place…pretty much sums up what a humourous screwball this show really is.

As many of you know, I’m a huge sucker for Bruno Mars 🙂 Love his music to bits. Anyhow, I just found this video on fb that I really wanted to show you guys. It’s a SNL video with Bruno pulling off some great impressions. Hella funny too 🙂 (sry couldn’t get a thumbnail pic)

I’m going to end my videos post with this – The opening 7 minutes of the movie Under The Skin. Many of you guys may not have heard of the film because it’s one of those art-house types that don’t get a very wide release. If you aren’t a cinephile, this one might have just slipped off your radar. Anyway, I’m showing this because that’s really one of my aims with this blog – To introduce less conventional films/more artsy films to all my followers who may/may not have been exposed to films like that.

Under the skin is a haunting, beautiful, and sometimes brilliant film about an alien (Scarlett Johansson) who has come to prey on men in Scotland. It’s still perhaps the most bizarre films I’ve seen but also one of the most complex ones and open to many different interpretations. I’ve just given you the premise but there’s so much more than that and I hope ya’ll who haven’t seen it pls give it a shot! Maybe it might even open up a whole new film style you didn’t even know you liked.

As one reviewer put it…

For cinephiles that enjoy artistic debate more than concrete answers, the film allows an intriguing platform for discussion and reflection. – Ben Kendrick

BE PATIENT!!! And stick through the whole 7mins! 😀

🙂 “How many is that per hour?” “How’s it gonna help you?” “Uh I will divide and count to it” HAHAHA The Office is really too much.
      How are you Anna? 🙂

Under the Skin was such an interesting film. So unsettling for reasons I can’t quite put my finger on. And The Office is the best show ever. I think anyone who has ever worked in an office can relate.

Glad there’s people like you who actually love it. I can’t find anyone I know in real life who even knows it exists!!
I liked it generally, I found it mostly confusing…had to read up to get the whole plot. I also had problems with the ending 😦

Ha! Yeah, this is what I love about bloggers – no one I know in real life likes anything that isn’t totally mainstream. : ) I’ve contemplated reading this book – it may make more sense of the movie.
