Roger Federer appreciation post

In light of the amazing comeback from 2 sets down to win the next three against Marin Cilic, I’ve decided to dedicate this post to the one, the greatest and the awesome…my hero Roger Federer. Incredible on-court and humble and down-to-earth off-court, win or lose, you’re still my champ! To the most incredible, graceful, greatest and the GOAT, we are behind you all the way!!! #RFnation

This man inspired me to pick up the sport when I was just 5 and I love it so much partly because of what he inspires others to be. Even at the age of 34, where many would call it quits, Roger has always remained competitive. There is no such thing as a nadir or a climax in his books, there is only passion.

So here’s a little tribute to the greatest tennis player ever.

Out of all his qualities, I find his repertoire of unique and audacious shots the most impressive. This man knows no fear. The back-handed slice is a common shot but only Federer can pull of a forehanded shot with such finesse.

 

The tweener? That’s what you call it? I call this the greatest motherf*cking shot ever. Ridiculous.

 

 

Some more of his cheeky tricky shots. The thing is he’s still able to get fairly good angle with all his flair shots. Gotta give it to the man.

p.s. He came over to play in an exhibition tournament and I was really happy I was able to catch him in action 🙂 I even managed to snap this awesome photo with that quirky motion effect. Crazy right?!
