My 20th Birthday

Heya guys! As much as birthdays can be an awesome time to celebrate one’s coming of age, it can serve as a powerful moment of reflection. On the one hand, I feel like I wanna be a teen forever and live in the somewhat carefree age of doing whatever’s cool and fun. But we all have to grow up. Oh wells, I still have a few more years of ‘teenage-hood’ so I’ll definitely enjoy it while I can. STILL A TEEN.

For my birthday, I decided to keep things simple this year. We cooked our own dinner, made our own citron cake and played some tennis in the evening. For dinner, we prepared a honey lemon chicken roast and rosemary-thyme marinated lamb chops :))

 

As I sit here typing up this post, I think back at what I’ve experienced in the past 20 years…memories of a bygone age and not too distant memories still so real in my mind. I’m lucky to have few regrets. But this is not a time to mull over melancholic times. If anything, birthdays show us that there’s always a road ahead. So remember, whatever you might have been through, whatever storms may have plagued you, and whatever pain or regrets that might have troubled you before…take this special occasion as a hope. May it light the path forward and allow us to become stronger. After all, bad experiences are still experiences right? As for the good things, cherish them and never let them go 🙂

Okay. That was a little bit serious. So here’s a pic of me when I was a little baby hehe 🙂 I’m off to watch the Wimbledon finals on the telly and some House of cards later in the night. Chill days are the best days 😉  Bonsoir!
