Flash Fiction: Take A Road Trip

Road trips are fun and cool. A ride by the arid land with the hot airy wisps that slap across your face. Your hair’s a tangled mess. But who cares? This is our red hot ride, zooming far away from reality, city-life, urbanites whose self-indulgence couldn’t be more and people trying to fit us into boxes. Let’s ride far away from school and the inane chatter. Out with all the noise. Find the path less travelled and not the beaten path…

“It’s burnin up ere I tell you!”

“Nah, it’s cool”

“What?”

“It’s what we wanted right?”

“Urgh there’s nothin’, I mean…”

“A little more and we’re gonna reach blue mountain”

As expected, we reached our destination. As we lie on the grass, somehow, we felt different…the body is cleansed and felt earthly; A splendour of stars enlighten us that we’re just little things in this big big world.

Interesting 🙂 That picture reminds me a little bit of something out of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and that is a high compliment 🙂 Keep up the great work as always 🙂
